Designing Worlds DW340 Idle Rogue
This episode is about the amazing music and dance community of Idle Rogue.
Once or perhaps twice a year, Designing Worlds will auction – for charity – the chance to choose a theme for an episode of the show. And this time, a supporter of the Idle Rogue community won this chance in the auction for Filling the Cauldron, and asked that we should make today’s show. We are delighted to do so. Indeed, the more we found out about Idle Rogue, the more we were wishing we had visited years ago – there is so much to see, hear and do!
Guided by the owner and designer of the community, Cherryblonde Scribe, we tour the venues and talk to a few of the artists, musicians and choreographers who make up Idle Rogue. Choreographer Sho Kyong develops a dance piece specially for the show and we hear a performance by musician Pol Arida. And we talk to Arrehn Oberlander, creator of the powerful stage scripting system, MetaHarper.
